In the NewsStrategic Staffing Solutions Turns 17 and is Still Growing
2007.09.28 DETROIT - Strategic Staffing Solutions (S3), Detroit's largest staffing company for information technology consultants, celebrates 17 years of operations on October 1. The company has experienced an average of 30% growth every year since it opened, with 2006 gross annual revenues of more than $140 million. "We opened our doors in 1990 with a desk, a phone and a vision," said Cynthia J. Pasky, S3 president and CEO. "My vision was to grow a company based on the philosophy that a relationship built on trust is a relationship that will last. I have applied this philosophy to my employees, customers and my community, and that's why we have been here for 17 years and we are still growing." S3's headquarters is located in the Penobscot Building in Detroit and it operates 21 branches world-wide. Since the start of 2006, the company has opened six new branches; Boston, Dallas Orlando, St. Louis, San Antonio and Tallahassee. "We have been able to expand geographically so quickly because we go where our customers need us and we are able to mobilize some of the industry's top professionals to those locations," said Pasky. "We also consistently analyze and fine-tune how the company operates and services our customers, so that we remain competitive." In addition to the company's growth, S3 has played a large part in the growth of the communities in which it serves. In Detroit, S3 coordinates two annual fundraisers which have raised over $225,000 for My Sister's Place, a Detroit shelter for battered women and their children. S3 provides community support in all of the cities in which it conducts business. Among them, Charlotte where S3 supports the Arts and Science Council and in St. Louis where the company contributes to the Junior Achievement and The Boys and Girls Town of Missouri, which helps abused and neglected children. "Community support is part of S3's fabric. We don't only make contributions, we also dedicate our time and resources," said Pasky. "As we begin our 18th year, we look forward to staying connected to our communities through our work and community service and to touching other cities through continued expansion." |
