An industry thought leader, April Donaldson is Strategic Staffing Solutions’ (S3) executive lead for its managed service provider (MSP) practice, the second largest line of business for the global staffing and business solutions corporation. April is a shareholder, responsible for a fourth of the company’s revenues, supporting nearly a third of the customer relationships and sales throughout S3‘s locations globally. Serving with passion, April prefers high-touch, face-to-face contact with the customers and suppliers that span the nation.
With more than 20 years of experience in the staffing industry, April is a charter partner and certified subject matter expert for the organization and the industry. She played a leadership role in developing the Certified Contingent Workforce Professional (CCWP) accreditation program and is a member of Staffing Industry Analyst’s Advisory Group (SIAAG) and its CCWP board that creates best-practice materials to move the staffing industry into the future.

In 2018, April was recognized among SIA’s North America Staffing 100 list and its Global Power 150 Women in Staffing. April has also been recognized through DBusiness Magazine’s 30 in Their Thirties and Crain’s Detroit’s 40 under 40 for her leadership and contributions across the national landscape.
Her previous positions with S3 include national account manager and director of MSP services delivery, where she implemented S3 MSP services with numerous customers. Prior to joining S3, she held positions throughout the staffing industry as an office manager, human resources manager and account manager.
In Detroit, April serves on the boards of directors for THAW, the Heat and Warmth Fund, Girl Scouts of Southeast Michigan, and The Parade Company, which produces America’s Thanksgiving Parade in Detroit. She is also S3’s executive sponsor of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metropolitan Detroit’s annual Bowl for Kids’ Sake annual fundraising event along with DTE Energy.
When April’s not crisscrossing the country, she enjoys spending time at home with her husband Scott, their two sons Benjamin and Jacob, and their four-legged family members, cats Ginger Jorge, who were adopted in Cuba. She also enjoys the Detroit Riverwalk, an occasional Coney dog, and witnessing Detroit’s amazing resurgence.
