Job Summary

The Business Analyst: Lead analyzes complex business problems, articulates requirements, and identifies opportunities for process improvement. This role supports business intelligence, advanced analytics, data engineering, and data visualization initiatives while partnering with business stakeholders and technical teams to develop effective solutions.

Job Responsibilities

• Analyze non-IT business problems and articulate requirements to support process improvement opportunities.
• Create frameworks for assessing financial payback, identify alternative solutions, and provide recommendations.
• Prepare documentation of current and desired states, develop requirements, and establish a common understanding between process owners and solution developers.
• Assess process performance and communicate findings through strong written and verbal communication.
• Independently gather complex business requirements by partnering with customers to define business problems and data needs.
• Translate ambiguous business questions into structured analytical frameworks.
• Utilize an advanced understanding of multiple data structures and sources to lead the development and implementation of business intelligence and advanced analytics solutions, including data visualization, data transformation, and data collection.
• Leverage Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) in advanced analytics solutions.
• Work on the development of analytic infrastructures, data engineering, and related business intelligence efforts.
• Strategically partner with IT execution and data engineering teams to develop analytic infrastructures, scalable data pipelines, and reliable, high-quality data for analytics solutions.
• Apply data visualization best practices, selecting appropriate tools to identify and interpret trends or patterns while following standard enterprise branding.
• Apply prototyping, usability, and end-user experience principles to maximize the effectiveness of dashboards, reports, insights, and analyses.
• Collaborate on technical standards, governance practices, process frameworks, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement with a focus on responsible AI practices.
• Apply innovative scientific and quantitative analytical approaches to draw conclusions, make recommendations, and drive business improvements.
• Provide systems thinking and advanced knowledge to influence data, information, and application architecture decisions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong SQL skills.
• Strong SAS skills.
• Experience with data visualization and visual presentation tools.
• Ability to assess process performance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of multiple data structures and sources.
• Experience developing and implementing business intelligence solutions, including data visualization, data transformation, and data collection.
• Experience with analytic infrastructures, data engineering, or related business intelligence efforts.
• Experience gathering complex business requirements and translating business problems into analytical solutions.
• Experience with Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Knowledge of data visualization best practices, prototyping, usability, and end-user experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Full-time employment experience with large banks or fintech organizations.
• Credit experience.
• U.S. education.
