Senior Infrastructure Engineer - 3 Alteryx Cloud Implementation 

Location: Charlotte, NC/Irving TX

Work Schedule: Hybrid- in office3 days.

Duration:6 months with a potential to extend

This is a W-2 contract opportunity, and candidates must be able to work on our W-2 only. NO C2C or 1099.

Important distinction :The manager is not looking for someone who simply has an Alteryx license or has developed Alteryx workflows. The need is for someone who understands the platform at a deeper level and can help administer, implement, migrate, and operationalize it in the cloud while coordinating across technical, vendor, and risk stakeholders.

Position Overview

• The team currently uses the Alteryx platform as a BI/analytics tool and is working through the transition from Alteryx Server to Alteryx Cloud.
• The team needs someone with strong Alteryx Server experience who can help drive the transition to the cloud.
  This person will be expected to serve as a leader in the migration and be capable of supporting the end-to-end implementation of Alteryx Cloud.
• The ideal candidate has previously led a cloud implementation from strategy through operationalization.
• This needs to be a self-driven individual who can independently work through issues, find answers, and keep the implementation moving without needing significant direction.The implementation is already underway. The team needs someone who can step in, understand where things currently stand, and continue moving the work forward.

Key Responsibilities / What the Manager Is Looking For
Continue working through the POC and broader Alteryx Cloud implementation.
Work directly with Alteryx as the vendor as well as internal infrastructure and risk partners to reconcile requirements and work through implementation challenges.
Understand the technical aspects of Alteryx well enough to have productive discussions with the vendor and internal technical teams.

Maintain a clear understanding of:

• Decisions that have already been made
• What has already been discussed
• Outstanding issues or dependencies
• How the team plans to move from the current state to the desired end state
  Be comfortable navigating a highly regulated environment, particularly when working with risk partners and established internal requirements.
• Have the communication and stakeholder-management skills necessary to work through differing perspectives and requirements. This cannot be someone who is purely technical.
• Be able to keep the initiative moving forward, work through roadblocks, and drive toward decisions and outcomes.

Alteryx Experience

• Alteryx Server administration experience is important.
  The team is not looking for an Alteryx developer whose experience is primarily building workflows.There are already many users and developers familiar with Alteryx. The need is for someone who understands how the platform works from an administration and implementation perspective.
• Alteryx Server certification is nice to have, but not required if the candidate has the other experience the team is looking for.
• Alteryx is willing to help the selected individual get up to speed where needed.
• The team will also have internal documentation and background information available to help the person understand the work that has already been completed.

Cloud / Technical Experience
Strong experience or understanding is needed in:

• Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) networking
• Cloud migrations / cloud implementations
• Alteryx Server administration
• Alteryx Cloud implementation
• Working through technical requirements and dependencies with vendors and internal infrastructure teams

Financial Services / Regulated Environment
Previous experience within financial services or another highly regulated environment is strongly preferred.
Experience navigating risk, governance, infrastructure, and control requirements would be valuable.
The individual needs to understand that technical solutions must also work within established risk and control requirements.
Strong interpersonal skills are important because the role requires working through requirements and concerns with multiple stakeholder groups rather than operating solely as a technical resource.
