QA Automation & UAT Tester – Commercial Banking

We are seeking an experienced QA Automation & UAT Tester to support a large-scale testing transformation initiative within Commercial Banking. This position requires a strong combination of hands-on test automation and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) experience.

This is not a pure Automation Engineer position. The ideal candidate will be capable of developing automated testing solutions while also performing hands-on UAT, business validation, test execution, and defect management across complex banking applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.
• Convert existing manual test cases and testing processes into automated solutions.
• Perform comprehensive UAT testing, including planning, test-case development, execution, validation, and defect tracking.
• Analyze business and functional requirements and translate them into manual and automated test scenarios.
• Execute end-to-end testing across multiple banking applications and platforms.
• Partner with business stakeholders to validate requirements and confirm expected application behavior.
• Document test plans, test scenarios, test cases, defects, results, and supporting evidence.
• Manage defects throughout their lifecycle, including identification, documentation, retesting, and closure.
• Collaborate with development, QA, product, and business teams to ensure successful releases.
• Identify opportunities to increase automation coverage and reduce manual testing efforts.
• Support testing throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Contribute to the organization's broader testing modernization and transformation strategy.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of QA, software testing, or related experience.
• 3–4+ years of hands-on UAT experience within Commercial Banking.
• 4+ years of hands-on test automation experience.
• Demonstrated experience converting manual testing processes into automated solutions.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test planning, test execution, defect management, and test reporting.
• Strong hands-on experience developing and maintaining automated test scripts.
• Experience analyzing business requirements and developing appropriate test cases.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and business teams.

Banking Experience – Critical Requirement

• Strong Commercial Banking testing experience.
• Hogan system knowledge and hands-on Hogan testing experience are required.
• Ability to understand banking workflows and validate functionality from both technical and business perspectives.

Preferred Qualifications

• ATM application testing experience.
• Experience supporting banking technology transformation or modernization programs.
• Experience transitioning organizations from heavily manual testing toward increased automation.
