Position Summary

Seeking a Regulatory Records Management Consultant to support regulatory records governance, information lifecycle management, and compliance initiatives within a banking and financial services environment.

This role will drive initiatives to ensure compliance with records retention and regulatory recordkeeping requirements while partnering with business, technology, data, and governance teams.

The ideal candidate will bring a combination of regulatory recordkeeping expertise, financial markets and trade lifecycle knowledge, technology and data experience, and strong project management capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Drive regulatory records management and recordkeeping initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with records retention and regulatory recordkeeping obligations.
  • Perform records identification and classification activities.
  • Apply retention schedules and regulatory recordkeeping requirements.
  • Manage data remediation workstreams.
  • Coordinate movement of data and records into retention repositories.
  • Support technology migration initiatives through records governance and classification activities.
  • Partner with business stakeholders, technology teams, and governance groups to implement change.
  • Manage projects and workstreams involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Facilitate business discussions and drive outcomes across stakeholder groups.
  • Support regulatory change management and compliance initiatives.
  • Prioritize projects and coordinate activities to meet business and regulatory objectives.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience with regulatory records management, records governance, and regulatory recordkeeping requirements.
  • Experience leading records governance programs.
  • Experience performing records identification and classification exercises.
  • Experience applying retention schedules and recordkeeping requirements.
  • Knowledge of financial markets workflows, trade generation, and trade lifecycle events.
  • Understanding of associated records and regulatory obligations.
  • Experience working with structured data applications and technology-enabled recordkeeping environments.
  • Experience with data repositories, data remediation, and technology migration initiatives.
  • Strong project management and change management experience.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and stakeholder workstreams.
  • Strong collaboration and business-facing communication skills.
  • Ability to work directly with business partners, facilitate discussions, and drive outcomes.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize projects.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and implement change.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within banking, capital markets, broker-dealer, or financial services compliance environments.
  • Series 99 certification.
