Senior Sourcer – Claims & Military Talent

Location: San Antonio, TX
Work Arrangement: 100% onsite
Contract Length: 12 months
Experience: 4–6+ years of sourcing experience
Position Type: Contract

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Sourcer to lead sourcing strategies for Auto and Life Claims positions, with a focus on identifying, engaging, and developing pipelines of qualified candidates, including military talent transitioning into financial services careers.

This is a 100% sourcing-focused role requiring strong claims domain knowledge, high-volume sourcing expertise, and the ability to partner with recruiters and hiring leaders to build proactive talent pipelines. The ideal candidate understands claims-related roles, regulated or licensed hiring requirements, geographic labor markets, and transferable skills that can help candidates transition into claims positions.

The Senior Sourcer will use LinkedIn Recruiter, applicant tracking systems (ATS), candidate relationship management (CRM) tools, and advanced sourcing platforms to identify talent, maintain candidate pipelines, and respond to recurring, high-volume, and surge hiring needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute end-to-end sourcing strategies for Auto and Life Claims roles, including Claims Adjusters and related positions.

  • Identify, research, and engage passive candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter and other advanced sourcing platforms.

  • Source military talent and assess transferable skills for opportunities within financial services, particularly claims operations.

  • Build and maintain proactive talent pipelines to support current and anticipated hiring demands.

  • Conduct regional labor market research, identifying candidate availability, geographic talent supply, licensing requirements, and competitor hiring trends.

  • Partner with recruiters and hiring leaders to refine intake requirements and translate business needs into realistic candidate profiles.

  • Identify candidates with transferable backgrounds, including customer service, call center adjudication, litigation support, and related operational experience.

  • Maintain and rediscover candidates through ATS/CRM systems, tracking claims experience, license status, candidate engagement, and relevant qualifications.

  • Re-engage previous applicants, silver-medalist candidates, and internal mobility talent to accelerate future hiring.

  • Support high-volume, seasonal, catastrophe-driven, and other surge hiring initiatives by rapidly scaling sourcing efforts.

  • Monitor competitor carriers, third-party administrators (TPAs), and regional labor markets to identify new talent sources.

  • Provide sourcing insights and recommendations to recruiters and business leaders regarding market conditions and candidate availability.

  • Contribute to diversity sourcing, geographic expansion, process improvement, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Approximately 4–6+ years of hands-on sourcing experience, including high-volume or operational recruiting.

  • Experience sourcing candidates for claims, insurance operations, or related regulated hiring environments.

  • Strong understanding of claims-related roles, including Auto and Life Claims, Claims Adjusters, or similar positions.

  • Experience developing sourcing strategies and building proactive candidate pipelines.

  • Experience sourcing passive candidates and managing candidate engagement.

  • Experience partnering with recruiters, hiring managers, and operational business leaders.

  • Ability to translate business requirements into candidate profiles and identify transferable skills.

  • Strong research, communication, organization, and stakeholder partnership skills.

  • Ability to manage competing priorities and respond to changing hiring volumes.

Preferred Background

  • Experience sourcing military talent and aligning military profiles with financial services opportunities.

  • Experience in insurance carriers, financial services, claims organizations, or third-party administrators.

  • Familiarity with state licensing requirements for claims-related roles.

  • Experience supporting large-scale or high-volume operational hiring.

  • Experience using ATS/CRM platforms to maintain talent pipelines and rediscover candidates.

Required Technology Skills

  • LinkedIn Recruiter: Passive candidate identification, targeted searches, and candidate engagement.

  • ATS/CRM platforms: Candidate pipeline management, license tracking, engagement history, and rediscovery.

  • Advanced or high-volume sourcing platforms: Expanding candidate reach and scaling pipelines for recurring or surge hiring.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a strategic, hands-on sourcer who understands claims talent markets and can build sustainable pipelines for Auto and Life Claims hiring. They can advise recruiting partners on geographic supply, candidate qualifications, licensing considerations, and transferable skills while also identifying military talent for financial services opportunities.
