The ideal candidate is a hands-on ServiceNow Developer who has personally built custom or scoped applications from the ground up, including data models, custom tables, workflows, business logic, JavaScript development, integrations, roles, and ACLs.
This is not primarily a ServiceNow Administrator or out-of-the-box configuration position. We are looking for a developer who can independently design, code, integrate, test, troubleshoot, and deploy ServiceNow solutions in a large enterprise environment.
Experience with AI/LLM tools, Generative AI, Now Assist, AI agents, prompt engineering, or AI-assisted development is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop custom and scoped ServiceNow applications from scratch.
- Develop custom tables, data models, forms, workflows, business logic, roles, and ACLs.
- Write hands-on JavaScript using Script Includes, Business Rules, Client Scripts, Glide APIs, UI Policies, and related ServiceNow development technologies.
- Design and develop REST API integrations between ServiceNow and enterprise applications.
- Build integrations using ServiceNow IntegrationHub and related integration technologies.
- Work with API authentication, requests and responses, JSON payloads, field mappings, transformations, error handling, and troubleshooting.
- Integrate ServiceNow with on-premises and cloud-based applications.
- Develop workflow automation using Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, and orchestration.
- Support the complete development lifecycle, including requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and production support.
- Configure secure role-based access, ACLs, and application security.
- Develop or support AI-enabled workflows using LLMs, AI agents, prompting, and AI-assisted automation.
- Work independently while collaborating with platform and technical teams.
- Apply working knowledge across ServiceNow capabilities including ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, and orchestration.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
- Demonstrated experience building custom or scoped ServiceNow applications from scratch.
- Strong hands-on JavaScript development skills.
- Experience with REST APIs and enterprise integrations.
- Hands-on experience with IntegrationHub.
- Experience with Flow Designer and workflow automation.
- Experience with Script Includes, Business Rules, Client Scripts, and Glide APIs.
- Experience with App Engine or App Engine Studio.
- Experience developing custom tables and data models.
- Experience implementing roles, ACLs, and application access controls.
- Experience working with JSON payloads, field mappings, data transformations, API authentication, error handling, and integration troubleshooting.
- Experience integrating ServiceNow with on-premises and cloud-based enterprise applications.
- Working knowledge of ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, orchestration, or related ServiceNow platform capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and contribute throughout the full software development lifecycle.
- Comfortable completing hands-on technical assessments and participating in live coding interviews.
Candidates should have genuine hands-on development experience beyond standard ServiceNow administration and out-of-the-box module configuration.

- ServiceNow Now Assist.
- AI agents or agentic workflows.
- LLM prompting and prompt engineering.
