Strategic Staffing Solutions is currently looking for a Software Engineer, for a W2 contract opportunity!

Software Engineer

Location: Phoenix, AZ, 85027 or Charlotte, NC,28202

Work Schedule: Hybrid- in office3 days.

Duration: 12 months with the potential to extend / convert!

This is a W-2 contract opportunity, and candidates must be able to work on our W-2 only. NO C2C or 1099.

Top Skills: Preference is for candidates with banking industry experience, ADK (Agent Development Kit) experience, or exposure to LLMs. Must have experience in Java, Spring Boot, Python, Backend, or Data-driven development.

Required Qualifications

4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, or education.

• 4+ years of Java experience, including proficiency in Spring / Spring Boot.
• 2+ years of experience with Python, focused on backend or data-driven development
• Deep understanding of Reactive Programming, including Web Flux
• ands-on experience with Apache Kafka for event-driven architecture.
• Experience with Flink for stream processing and data pipelines.
• Database expertise with both MongoDB (NoSQL) and Oracle (RDBMS).
• 2+ years of experience developing and using RESTful Application Program Interfaces (APIs).

Job Summary:

In this contingent resource assignment, you may: Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Software Engineering. Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale or longer-term Software Engineering challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors. Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that meet deliverables. Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel.
Required Qualifications: 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.

Desired Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience with Cloud technologies.
• Exposure to LLMs (Large Language Models), agentic architectures, and prompt engineering concepts.
• Familiarity with ADK (Agent Development Kit), Playbook, or similar agentic frameworks
