Position Overview

A global financial services company is seeking a Junior Banking Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative and operational support to a team of 25+ Junior Bankers, ranging from Analyst and Associate through Junior Vice President level.

The Banking Assistant will work as part of a team supporting bankers within an industry group. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone with a customer service, administrative, office support, or coordination background who is comfortable managing a high-volume workload and multiple competing priorities.

The successful candidate will receive comprehensive training and ongoing support from a Team Supervisor. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, dependable, detail-oriented, resourceful, and comfortable working in a fast-paced financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and schedule meetings and conference calls across multiple time zones.
  • Manage a high volume of phone calls and emails, ensuring information is communicated accurately and promptly.
  • Provide calendar and diary management support for bankers at the Associate level and above.
  • Coordinate conference room bookings for internal and external meetings across multiple locations.
  • Assist with coordinating travel arrangements, including international flights, accommodations, visa applications, and related logistics.
  • Arrange car services and other transportation needs.
  • Process employee expenses and assist with timely expense management.
  • Process invoices and coordinate related administrative activities.
  • Support bankers and team members with day-to-day administrative needs, questions, and issues.
  • Complete ad hoc administrative tasks while maintaining established workflows and deadlines.
  • Provide phone and holiday coverage for other administrative team members when needed.
  • Maintain a professional and responsive approach when supporting senior-level professionals.
  • Handle confidential business information with discretion and professionalism.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 0–1 year of professional experience; internships, customer service, administrative, or office experience are welcome.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional and confident communication style when interacting in person, by phone, email, and video conferencing.
  • Ability to interact professionally with individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Flexible and adaptable when supporting multiple teams and changing priorities.
