Job/Role Description:

• Lead the design, development, and automation of end-to-end reporting and analytics solutions using Power BI.

• Design and build scalable Power BI reports, dashboards, semantic models, and reusable business intelligence solutions.

• Automate data validation, testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) processes.

• Automate data refreshes, monitoring, error handling, and data quality controls.

• Design, build, test, and support automated ETL pipelines supporting Power BI semantic models, reports, and dashboards.

• Integrate and transform data from enterprise data sources using reusable and scalable ingestion patterns.

• Optimize Power BI data models for performance, scalability, and usability.

• Implement data quality, lineage, security, and governance controls across reporting solutions.

• Optimize semantic models, metadata, and business definitions to improve AI-driven analytics and natural language query experiences.

• Enable self-service analytics through scalable reporting solutions and reusable data assets.

• Lead complex development initiatives independently and drive projects through completion.

• Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership and guidance.

• Partner with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-impact analytics solutions.

• Maintain clear technical documentation for reporting solutions, data models, and development processes.

• Work proactively to identify opportunities for automation, optimization, and process improvement.

• This position follows a hybrid schedule with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote.

• This is a contract position with the possibility of conversion to a permanent role for the right candidate.

Required Qualifications

• Advanced hands-on experience developing reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions using Power BI.

• Strong experience with Power BI data modeling and semantic models.

• Experience designing and supporting scalable business intelligence and reporting solutions.

• Experience with GitHub and source control practices.

• Proficiency with Python.

• Strong experience with data integration, transformation, and data validation.

• Experience automating reporting, testing, monitoring, refreshes, and data quality processes.

• Strong understanding of data quality, governance, lineage, and security concepts.

• Strong technical documentation skills.

• Ability to independently lead complex technical projects from design through implementation.

• Ability to mentor and provide technical guidance to junior developers.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and business stakeholders.

• Self-driven, proactive, and solution-oriented with the ability to work independently.

• Experience with ETL processes preferred.

• Experience working within Agile development methodologies preferred.
