Position Overview
Our client is seeking a junior-level Fund Services Analyst to support the setup, launch, and ongoing lifecycle management of alternative investment funds. This is an entry-level opportunity for someone interested in asset management operations, investment products, and fund lifecycle activities.
The analyst will provide project coordination, administrative, tracking, and basic analytical support while working closely with experienced team members and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day project coordination support for new fund launches and other fund-related activities.
- Maintain project plans, launch checklists, trackers, and workflow tools.
- Schedule working-group meetings, organize materials, prepare draft agendas, and document meeting notes and action items.
- Follow up with internal stakeholders regarding assigned tasks, required information, and deadlines.
- Maintain accurate records for fund launches, changes, restructurings, and terminations.
- Collect and organize information required for internal system setup and external service-provider onboarding.
- Support preparation of status reports, management updates, presentations, and working-group documentation.
- Set up new funds in firm systems using fund documentation and internal information.
- Perform basic data validation to ensure information is complete and accurately reflected across trackers and supporting materials.
- Identify missing information, overdue deliverables, and potential process issues and escalate appropriately.
- Support ad hoc operational projects and process-improvement initiatives.
- Develop a foundational understanding of asset management operations, investment funds, and end-to-end fund lifecycle activities.
Basic Qualifications
- 0–2 years of professional experience.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
- Ability to follow established procedures, ask questions, and escalate issues appropriately.
- Comfortable working collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Professional, dependable, and able to handle business information appropriately.
- Genuine interest in investment products, fund operations, and asset management.
- Familiarity with asset management or program/project management is preferred.
