Meet Bob Zhang: Senior Vice President

Leading U.S. growth with a tech-forward vision

Bob Zhang developed his strong work ethic at a young age working in his parents’ Ann Arbor restaurant. Serving as a busboy, cook, waiter, and dishwasher, Bob picked up a multitude of skills that serve him well to this day.

With dual degrees in computer science and mathematics, Bob joined the S³ family in 2004 as its Director of IT and Customer Care Services, maintaining the daily infrastructure throughout S³’s global footprint, including installation, maintenance for all systems, vendor relationship development, technical support management, disaster recovery planning, and business continuity development.

In his role as Senior Vice President, Bob leads S³’s sales efforts across the U.S., which is an integral part of S³’s growth. In this role, Bob is adept at understanding our Customers’ business objectives, technical environment and company culture in order to provide them with a well-screened, highly skilled staff who make it possible to meet initiatives and deliverables within established timelines.

Bob likes that he is continuously challenged to improve productivity and reduce costs through improved uses of technology both at S³ and for our customers. He works closely with S³ customers to help them identify efficiencies and cost savings with IT as the foundation. Along with internal IT operations, Bob assists in the development, design, and delivery of technology solutions for S³’s customers.

Aside from his daily activities, Bob enjoys working on community service programs that help people change their station in life, whether it’s helping the homeless or underprivileged children. He and his wife have also opened their home to special needs rescue pets.
